If you find an undissolved piece after a wash, first check where the strip was placed and whether the load could move freely. A strip caught in a door seal is a different problem from one sitting among tightly packed clothes.
Check placement and loading
With Melt, put the strip inside the drum. Keep it clear of the door seal and do not overload the machine. Follow the machine’s loading limits; a drum packed tightly to the door makes it harder for water and laundry to circulate.
Check the programme and instructions
Use the guidance on your current detergent pack and the care labels on your clothes. A short programme or a different temperature may need a different approach. We do not promise that every strip will dissolve under every possible machine setting.
Check how the strips were stored
Keep the box away from splashes, damp shelves and steamy storage spaces. Moisture can change how strips handle before they reach the wash. Close the pack after use, and do not deliberately wet unused strips to make them easier to separate.
If it keeps happening, tell us
Email info@meltlaundry.com with your order details, machine programme, temperature and a photo if helpful. Keep the pack so we can identify it. Our team can help investigate the actual problem. Avoid adding more detergent automatically when you are already seeing residue.
Does residue always mean I need more detergent?
No. More detergent is not the automatic answer. Check the dose, placement and loading first, and ask us if the problem continues.
