The everyday details · Melt Laundry
The right dose depends on the load, not simply on the number of people in your home. Use the dosing instructions on your Melt pack as the starting point. A strip can be torn, which lets you adjust the amount rather than commit to a whole capsule.
Match the amount to the job
Consider the size of the load, how dirty the clothes are and any hard-water guidance on the pack. Do not use another brand’s sheet count: sheets differ in size and formulation. If you are unsure about your current pack, email us before changing the dose.
Smaller loads do not need guesswork
For a smaller load, the ability to tear a strip gives you more flexibility. It does not mean the smallest possible scrap will clean everything. Follow the pack guidance and keep an eye on the result, especially when you change programmes or wash unusually dirty items.
Work out how long your box lasts
A pack contains 60 strips. At an illustrative half-strip per wash it would provide 120 doses; at one strip, 60; at two strips, 30. These are arithmetic examples, not dosing recommendations. Your own pack instructions decide which dose is suitable.
Use that information for delivery timing
After a few washes, note how many strips you have used in a week. That gives you a more useful subscription interval than a fixed household average. You can then choose 4, 8 or 12 weeks, or ask us to help change your schedule.
Can I tear a strip in half?
Yes. Melt strips can be torn to adjust the amount. Follow the pack’s dose guide for the load you are washing.
