A few shirts or a small basket of everyday clothes does not always call for the same detergent dose as a full household wash. Melt’s tearable strips give you a way to adjust the amount without pouring a liquid or measuring a scoop.
The useful difference is flexibility
A capsule comes as a sealed dose. A strip can be divided before it goes into the machine. Use that flexibility with the instructions on your pack: smaller does not automatically mean half, and a small but heavily soiled load may need different treatment.
Choose the programme for the clothes
Check garment labels and your machine instructions. A quick cycle is not automatically the right cycle for every small wash. Separate garments that need specialist care instead of trying to make one programme and one detergent cover everything.
Save the dry remainder
Return any unused dry portion to the box and close it. Keep it with the labelled pack rather than loose on a shelf, and away from children and pets. That way you retain the instructions and know exactly which product you are using next time.
Buy at the pace you actually wash
If you wash infrequently, a one-off pack may be the easiest start. If you subscribe, choose an interval that matches your use and pause when you are well stocked. There is no minimum term on Melt’s standard subscription.
Is half a strip always enough for a small wash?
Not as a universal rule. Use the current pack’s dosing guide and consider how dirty the clothes are.
